St. George, Utah - Grant Thomas Zitting is the son of Jon and Jeanette Zitting. He was born in Medford, Oregon on June 30, 1993. He recently was called home to the loving
embrace of his Heavenly Father.

Grant is an amazing person who lived life to the fullest. He fought the best fight he could, stretching himself every day to overcome his demons. To Grant, rules were meant to be broken and limits were meant to be pushed. He didn't like to be told no; he took it as a challenge. His lack of a filter was a blessing and, at times, a bit of a curse. His love for those around him ran deep as the oceans and his loyalty as high as the mountains.

He was goofy and loud, teased relentlessly, and showed his love by standing up for those who needed it most. Anyone who was in need could always count on him to do all in his power to help. There were times he literally gave the shirt off his back to those he believed were in greater need than himself. Grant would have given his life without hesitation to save those he loved that's the kind of man he was. He embodied Christ's teaching that, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

He has finished his fight here with us. His mortal sojourn is complete. And although we mourn his death, we celebrate his example of love, compassion, loyalty, and courage. Grant's passing was unexpected and heartbreaking for all his friends and family. We will, however, forever remember and cherish his memory till we meet him again at Jesus' feet.

Grant is survived by his parents; his siblings: Brittany, Patrick, Aubry, Ariel, and Gabriel; and his children.06/30/1993
