St. George, Utah – Guy Albert Griebel, 87, passed away October 20, 2023. He was born September 12, 1936, in Muncie, Indiana to E. Bob and Miriam Griebel.

His family relocated to Peru, Indiana, which he loved. In 1951, they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Guy worked for his father in the Mobile Home Business. At age 16 he pulled trailers from Arizona back to Las Vegas. He also went to work at Foodland Grocery for a number of years, eventually attaining part-time manager.

Guy married Janie Daws in August 1956. They had four children in their first four years of marriage – Beth Ann, Brenda Sue, Guy Jarold and Robert Neil. Then they happily adopted Randy Lee at age 14. Then add to that 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Guy raced motorcycles for many years and loved sports in general.

Guy was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all.

Services will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
