Harry Alonzo Stewart
Harry Alonzo Stewart passed away at the age of 93 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Harry was born on April 27, 1933, in Costello, Pennsylvania, to Laurence and Twila Stewart.
While serving in the United States Army and stationed at Dugway Proving Ground near Tooele, Utah, he met the love of his life, Ruth Anne Kelley. They were married and shared 72 wonderful years together. They were blessed with five children: Lawrence Joseph (deceased), Betty Jo "BJ" Dosh, Ronald Alan (Yvonne) Stewart, Carol Anne Stewart (Bob), and James (Michele) Stewart.
In his early years, Harry worked in the gilsonite mining industry in Uintah County, Utah, and later for Great Lakes Timber in Lapoint, Utah. In 1994, Harry and Ruth Anne moved to Central Utah, where they joined the family business, Drive Train Unlimited, remaining there until Harry's retirement.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Twila Stewart; his infant son, Lawrence Joseph Stewart; his brothers, LaVern Stewart and Larry Stewart; and his sisters, Doris Kilduff and Betty Allgood.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruth Anne Stewart; his children, Betty Jo "BJ" Dosh, Ronald Alan (Yvonne) Stewart, Carol Anne Stewart (Bob), and James (Michele) Stewart; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild expected soon.
Harry will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many lives he touched throughout his 93 years.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
