Santa Clara, Utah - Heather Eileen Whitney (maiden name Brady), age 47, died in her home in Santa Clara, Utah on Sunday, April 15, 2012 after enduring 3 years of Stage 4 her2-positive Breast Cancer.
She was born June 26 1964 and was adopted by the Bradys. She lived in Toquerville, Utah for her childhood. She was a star track athlete and won many trophies. She loved running and sporting nice shoes. She was well-liked by everyone in the community. In 1985 she met Howard Whitney and they began their life together. With Howard in the Air Force, Heather traveled to Texas, California, Japan, and South Carolina. She loved riding bikes, collecting seashells, crabbing, writing poetry, photography, and snorkeling.
Heather always kept her head up and didn't complain about pain. She loved adventures with her husband, played puppets with her granddaughter, talked to her siblings and children, and loved her Miniature Pinscher Bella. She had a beautiful soul and didn't judge people. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered and loved.
Survivors of Heather include her adoring husband Howard Whitney, her sisters Nancy Tait and Shauna Anderson, her brothers Stephen Brady and Bruce Brady, her two children Brett and Cori Whitney, and her granddaughter Kiara Whitney.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heather Whitney Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
