St. George, UT - Helen Leona Worthington Drebing Peterson at 86 years old, joined her heavenly family on May 21, 2009. Leona was born November 19, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ison S. and Helen Elizabeth Prescott Worthington. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and worked for years in the St. George LDS Temple. She served three missions, including the Oakland, California; Lubbock, Texas missions and the Family History Library Mission in Salt Lake City, UT. She harbored a deep love for her fellow men and her grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Marvin Worthington of Draper, UT; sister, Lorraine Eaton of Enoch, UT; son, Montie Parker (Sue) of Hurricane, UT; daughter, Jeannie (Wayne) Anderson of Wright, WY; and Sherm (Sherrie) Drebing of Sandy, UT. She was preceded in death by daughter, Judy Ann (Van) Johnson, and three grandchildren: Vince, Sandy and Luke. Leona had four children, 25 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 29, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Santa Clara City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221. A visitation will be held Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT.
