St. George, Utah " Helene Bechmann Blake passed away September 8, 2014. She was born August 20, 1924 in Rodach, Germany to Robert and Lena Hoffman Bechmann. She married Denzel Thomas Blake on October 4, 1947 in Germany and came to The United States by boat. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on July 11, 1998. Helene and Denzel started D. Blake Electric in 1950. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family at the cabin in Kolob, fishing, bowling and golfing. Helene and Denzel had two children: Debra Ann (Wayne) Haddad and Peter Denzel (Julie) Blake. They have seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, with on the way. Helene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Denzel; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. George LDS 5 ^th Ward Chapel, 85 South 400 east, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery.
