Obituary

St. George, UT / Henderson, NV - Homer Workman Gibson passed away September 2, 2010 in St. George, Utah. He was born January 21, 1917 in Hurricane, Utah to John Edgar and Wealthy Workman Gibson. Homer entered the Navy during World War II in October, 1943 and served his entire service in Washington State as a clerk for the Military and was Honorably discharged in 1946. Homer married his sweetheart Wanda Cooper during the War. They settled in Henderson, Nevada after his discharge from the military. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of St. George, Utah; two daughters; Renae Ballard and Bonnie Gibson; grandchildren: Teresa Derendinger (Damon) and David Ballard (Michelle); great-grandchildren: Jeffrey and Jamie Croft, Ryan and Reese Ballard all from Henderson, Nevada; and two siblings, Iva Reeve and Len Gibson of Hurricane, Utah. Funeral Services will be held in Henderson, Nevada. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
