St. George, UT - Hugh Dee Wolsey, age 80 passed away March 27, 2015. Dee, as he was known by friends and family was born September 13, 1934 in Cardston, Alberta to Edna Neilson and Hugh Wolsey. In 1956, Dee was drafted by the New York Yankees and played ball with the Modesto Reds, the Yankee's farm team. After his Army service Dee landed a job with a propane company in Portland, OR and successfully worked his way up into management, retiring from Suburban Propane in Seattle, WA in 1996. Dee loved the outdoors and living in Southern Utah. Anyone visiting Dee and Nancy's house in Diamond Valley could expect a quad ride in the Dixie Forest, a hike to see the Petroglyphs, and a quiet evening watching the sunset sitting next to Dee on the patio. Dee was a loving husband, father and brother. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Karen (Dan) Beauchamp, Brenda Wolsey, Duane (Tracy) Wolsey; step-daughter, Stacy (Dave) Miller; granddaughters: Erin Beauchamp, Erica Wolsey, Michaella and McKinley Terrell; grandsons: Sean and Todd Beauchamp; a great-granddaughter Xiola Beauchamp; sisters: Carol (Joe) Coggins and Edra Richardson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, Utah and Washington.
