St. George, Utah
- Illa Ruth Jeppesen Larsen passed away September 24, 2016 at her home in St. George, Utah. She was born April 28, 1924 in Mantua, Utah to Emil and Minnie Weaver Jeppesen. Illa Ruth married Neal H. Larsen in Preston, Idaho on November 26, 1941. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on June 29, 1959. They were married for 64 years.
Her life was full of service to her family and friends. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She and Neal were temple workers for 10 years and loved serving the Lord in that capacity. She, also, held numerous other positions in the Church during her lifetime.
Before retiring to St. George she worked as a banker for 20 years as well as helped with the farm she and Neal had in Northern Idaho.
Illa Ruth is survived by her daughters: Illa Rae (George) Page Sparks of Richland, WA and Nancy Knight of St. George, UT. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset LDS Stake Center, 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery.
