Washington, Utah -   On Monday, February 15, 2016 the heavens rejoiced and the earth wept as Jacqueline Platt Riggs ascended from her honored position in life to a new adventure beyond the veil. Her heart warming smile and contagious laughter will be missed as she has touched the lives and souls of countless friends, pupils and family.
Jacque is preceded in death by her former husband, William Ralph Riggs; and her parents, Roland and Dorothy Platt. She is survived by her children: William James "Bill" (Anita) Riggs , Allen Trent (Lisa) Riggs, her treasured daughter, Melanie Riggs; eight grandchildren and their two spouses; and two great grandchildren. She is also survived her brothers Gary (Vicky) Platt, Robert "Bob" (Larraine) Platt and Marlan (Linda) Platt.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Buena Vista LDS Stake Center, 860 North Fairway Drive, Washington, Utah. Visitations will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and Saturday, prior to services, at 9:00 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center above. Interment will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Hatch, UT Cemetery.
