Obituary

Santa Clara, Utah - James "Alec" Alexander Sevy, age 35, passed peacefully Saturday January 5, 2013 in the Dixie Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. After a life filled with struggles due to cerebral palsy and other disabilities, Alec was able to return home to his Heavenly Father. We are comforted in knowing his beloved Grandfather Mark Sevy was there to greet him. He is survived by parents, Jim and Jill; sisters, Marissa (Brett) and Kaitlin; and brother, Tyler; his loving grandparents, Kent and Janet Petersen; his adoring grandmother, Joyce Sevy; nephews, Maddox and Vann; niece, Bria; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Alec attended and graduated Snow Canyon High School and was involved in many ground breaking local and state funded programs for people with disabilities. Many family members and friends were inspired to get involved with these programs due to their experiences with Alec.

Alec was sweet, loving and kind to all he came in contact with and the strength of his spirit was felt by all who knew him. He had a profound influence on many lives because of his cheerfulness and unconditional love.

All who knew Alec knew his love for red cars, music of all kinds and especially loved his time with family members and was known for his occasional hallelujahs in sacrament meeting. He will be missed deeply by many and all who knew him can be comforted knowing he's in heaven singing loud and dancing with every blonde angel he can find.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara LDS 7 th Ward Chapel, 3815 West Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah.
