St. George, Utah - James M. Burningham, 97, of St, George, Utah, formally of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away January 9, 2014 in St. George, Utah. He was born August 25, 1916 to James Valentine and Annie Muir Burningham. He married Ida Johnson on July 10, 1939. She passed away on January 4, 2006.

In his younger years, he farmed. He then worked for Bauer Equipment for many years. He also worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator.

James is survived by his daughters: Carolee (Velden) Martinsen of Blackfoot Idaho, Margo (Everett) Goodwin of St. George, Utah, Janet (Ralph) Greenhalph of St. George, Utah and Peggy (Sam) Rothwell of Eagle, Idaho; son, Bruce (Diane) Burningham of Baker City, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida and son, Robert (Judy) Burningham of Blackfoot, Idaho.
