St. George, Utah - James "Jim" R. Ingels, 88, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 in St. George. He was born on August 26, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Myrtle and William Ingels. He was married to Wanda in San Diego, California on December 29, 1960.

Jim was raised in Indianapolis, spent three years in the U.S. Navy and moved to San Diego, California in 1957. He was trained in television repair and electronics and worked for the FAA for 28 years as an Electronic Technician. After retirement he moved to Pollock Pines, California, where he built his home. He loved the area and spent many hours hiking, gold panning and woodworking. Due to a decline in his health, Jim and Wanda moved to St. George, Utah in 2004.

Jim is survived by his wife, Wanda; three children; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his sister, Sharon. Jim was a hardworking, honest and decent man. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
