IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jane Caryl
Ryan
March 9, 1958 – December 13, 2022
Jane Caryl Ryan, 64, formerly a resident of Tempe, AZ, and currently living in St. George, UT, passed away on December 13, 2022, in St. George. She was born on March 9, 1958, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Joseph B. Ryan, Jr, and Mary Jane Brand Ryan.
Jane loved animals. She mused that if it's true that animals meet their loved ones on the other side, she will have a zoo to tend to when she goes.
Jane made many lasting friendships throughout her life. She is remembered by friends and family as being kind, outspoken, empathetic and an optimist. She enjoyed a good chat, and often sought to be a listening ear for others. She dealt with more than her share of health trials, especially in her later years. Although she often shared with those close to her about her struggles, she remained determined to enjoy life, and fought to maintain as much quality of life and independence as she could. She recently shared with her loved ones, "I was a fighter coming into this life, and I'm going to continue to be a fighter going out of it." And she was.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lyn (Bradshaw) Ryan; nieces: Kristy Maree Ryan (Quincy Lewis), Julie Nicole Ryan-Winkley (Matt) of Encinitas, CA, Lisa Anne Ryan (Cody Ferdinando), Heather Lyn Ryan (Alan Jehamy) of Solana Beach, CA; great nieces and nephews: Moira Lewis (8), Haldir Lewis (4), Joey Jehamy (2), Eddie Jehamy (7 months); and her aunt and uncle: Dennis and Joyce Ryan of Cranston, RI. and Alton Bay, NH.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph B. Ryan, Jr; mother, Mary Jane Ryan; and brother, Joseph B. Ryan.
There will be a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the St. George Catholic Church located at 259 West 200 North. Burial will follow in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jane to the American Kidney Fund at www.kidneyfund.org or by calling them at (866) 300-2900.
