Obituary

St. George, Utah Janet Ruth Lewis, 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side June 25, 2019. She was born September 27, 1942 in Bell, California to Sheldon and Anale Robinson Hawes. She married Robert Eldon Hilditch on September 15, 1962. He passed away July 8, 1975. She later married Robert Carl Lewis, Sr. in Los Angeles, California on June 12, 1982.

Janet graduated from Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, California in 1960. She was an avid reader. She loved being surrounded by family and playing games. She also loved tacos, teaching, the mountains, trips to Hawaii and anything to do with water.

Janet was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving as a Temple Worker and in Young Women's.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Carl Lewis, Sr.; daughters: Shelly Waite, Joanne Harris, Kari Hilditch, Sheri Hilditch, Katie Lewis and Cherie MacLean; sons: Robert Lewis, Jr. and Steven Lewis; brother, Rick Hawes; sister, Gail Groza; 15 grandchildren, with one on the way; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Stake Center, 200 West Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah.
