St George, Utah – Janet Simmering, age 87, passed away on April 2, 2023, in St George, UT with her daughters, Jeanne and Judy by her side. She was born on November 7, 1935, in Wray, Colorado to George and Lillie McGinnis.

Janet's husband, Jack Simmering preceded her in death on March 7, 2021. They enjoyed their retirement life traveling to other countries and their cabin in Mountain Home, Wyoming. They moved from Ft. Collins to live permanently in Sun City West, Arizona where Janet loved playing in her lady's golf club and her water aerobic classes.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joys of her life.

She is survived by her children: Judy (Rick) Henderson and Jeanne (Chad) Collier; grandchildren: Matt (Michelle) Henderson, Michael (Lauren) Collier, Kelly Collier, and Brennan Simmering; great grandchild, Maddox Henderson; and sister, Phyllis Shaffer. Her loving son, Brad died unexpectedly on December 12, 2020.
