Santa Clara, Utah - Passionate, dedicated, charming, fun-loving, tenacious, intelligent, competitive, and warm-hearted inadequately describes the amazing life of Jared Royer, 40, who passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2014 while scuba diving in Southern California. Jared was born on August 27, 1974 in Santa Cruz, CA. He was a graduate of Santa Rosa High School, Brigham Young University, and UC San Diego Medical School and received his anesthesia residency at University of Arizona. At the time of his death, Jared was working as an anesthesiologist for the Mountain West Anesthesia Group through Dixie Regional Medical Center. Jared's greatest love was his family. He leaves behind his best friend, high school sweetheart and loving wife of 18 years, Mary Lynn Willits Royer, four amazing children, Brendan (15), Megan (13), Madelyn (6) and Kate (3); his parents, Lamont and Celia Royer; brother, David, sisters, Michelle Willey, Monica Miner, Ann Marie Favela, Melissa Biggs; in-laws, Al & Linda Willits, Jennifer Willits, Benjamin Willits, Julie Stahl and Adam Willits. Jared looked forward to any adventure with enthusiasm and zest. Jared loved cycling, running, hiking, camping and any opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara L.D.S. 10th Ward Chapel, 630 Riesling Avenue, Santa Clara, UT. Visitations at the Chapel will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, UT.
