Cedar City, Utah – Jay Don Davis, 83, passed away October 22, 2023. He was born August 18, 1940, to Oleen and Rachel Robinson Davis in Cedar City, Utah. He married Valorie Leavitt October 7, 1967, in Mesquite, Nevada.

Jay served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during Vietnam Era where he served in the Cold War Unit as a 13 Bravo Chief Cannon Crewman.

Jay lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for 25 years working as a roofer and owned his own business. In 1995, he retired to Cedar City, Utah where he continued to be a roofer.

Jay enjoyed bowling, pool, dancing, card games, and spending time with family. He loved to attend rodeos and going to the N.F.R. Family was always very important to Jay.

Jay is survived by his wife of 56 years, Valorie; children: Nick (Amy) Davis, Jodi (Matt) Eggleston, Rachel (Jerad) Ciarus, Heidi (JD) Harkins, Tiffani (Rainy) Davis, Mason Davis and Rose Alcala; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. (NV Time) in the Mesquite City Cemetery, 301 Hillside Drive, Mesquite, Nevada.
