In our most loving memory, Jay Keith Tullis went home to his loving Heavenly Father on February 25, 2026. Jay was born to Lamar and Norma Tullis on November 26, 1939, in Ogden, Utah.
He joined the U.S. navy in 1956 and was stationed on the USS Hornet, moving then to Southern California where he raced for Honda for 10 years, competing and winning many Enduro races as well as helping Honda to develop motorcycles.
Jay's innovative skills and creativity moved him to start his own motorcycle suspension company. What started in his garage evolved into a company, well known to motorcycle enthusiasts around the world today, Progressive Suspension.
After retiring, Jay moved to Southern Utah finding his love of golf and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie Tullis; daughter Tammy (Jack) Wilson, son Doug (Sandy) Tullis and grandchildren: Brandyn (Holly), Kyle and Blaine (Jessica) Tullis and son Tony (Beth) and grandchildren: Kahlia (Cameron), Kayson and Preston Rodriguez as well as his great grandchildren: Kegan, Jakson, Noel and Tatum.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Washington City Cemetery, 300 Park View Dr., Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00-10:15 a.m. prior to services at Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
The family has chosen to honor Jay at a Celebration of Life at the Husky Mountain Monument in Ransburg, California on April 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m
Jay will always be in our hearts and will always be remembered as he is loved by many.
