Jeanne Margaret Starley St. George, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home with her family around her on September 29, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born in Farmer, SD on June 6, 1923 to Margaret Ann Heck and Bernard J. Luken. She resided in Fordyce, NE. Jeanne joined the U.S. Navy in 1944. While serving her country, she met the love of her life, Wells Dean Starley. They were married in Salt Lake City in 1947 and there they raised their nine children. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. Jeanne and Wells retired to St. George in 1990 where she enjoyed volunteering at Dixie Regional Medical Center and the Hospital Thrift Store for over 16 years. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wells; her children: Susan (Richard) Neish, Mark (Barbara), Richard, Margaret (William) Lough, Thom (Lynne-deceased), Scott (Mindy), Robert Bob , Marie (John) Pavlidis and Maureen; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas B. Luken. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George Catholic Church located at 259 West 200 North.
