Santa Clara, UT - Jeffrey Mark Dial was born on July 15, 1956 to Francis B and Ruth Virginia Johan Dial. Jeff passed away on February 7, 2012. When Jeff was 14 he met Sherri Lynn Blum, who would go on to be the love of his life and his best friend; they were married in the Los Angeles LDS temple on Oct. 22, 1977. Jeff & Sherri had five wonderful children: Jeffrey Bryan, Christopher Michael, Aaron Scott, Jennifer "J.J." Joy, and Patrick James.
Jeff treated Sherri like the angel she is and through his life long example taught his boys how to be men. He made everyone that came into his life better saved countless lives and was a selfless, giving, loving human being.
Jeff had a driving passion for public safety and has worked as a firefighter, EMT, and as a 9_1_1 dispatcher. Passionate about emergency services Jeff only loved one thing more...his family.
Jeff is so proud of all his kids. If you knew Jeff you knew how much he loved his children. He thinks the world of them. Jeff is also the proud grandpa to Jeffrey Roman, Portia Colleen, and Malcolm Aaron.
Jeff is survived by his wife Sherri; his children Bryan & Danalee, Chris & Aimee, J.J., and Patrick & Stephenee; his father Francis; siblings Ron, David, Ken, Denise, & Diana and the thousands whos lives he saved and anyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Jeff was greeted on the steps of heaven by his son Aaron and his mother Ruth.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the St. George LDS Institute Building at Dixie College, 943 E. 400 S., St. George, Utah. There will be a visitation Friday, February 10 th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services at the Dixie College LDS Institute Bldg. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
