Ivins, UT- Jerry Clark Evans was called home to his Heavenly Father on Thur., March 11, 2010. He was born June 1, 1939 in Ogden, UT to James and Arlene Evans. He married Millie Keirnes of Kamiah, ID, August 25, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jerry enjoyed planes, trains and automobiles and singing in the Southern Utah Heritage Choir. He worked as a projectionist, inspector, and salesman. He finished his careers serving as an engineer in the St. George LDS Temple for fifteen years before retiring. He was preceded in death by both parents and his older brother Roger. He is survived by his wife Millie and six children: Tammie (Scott) Wells of Hurricane, Connon (Toni) of Vernal, Robert (Sandra) of Twin Falls, Sherrie (Jim) Arnold of Plain City, OH, James (Angie) of Ivins and Joseph (Bobbidee) of Wylie, TX; 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister Gordon (Diana), David (Nina), and Susan (Joseph) Henley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Monday, March 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services, both at the mortuary.
