Washington, Utah - Joan Ann Perry, 83, passed away April 18, 2014. She was born May 4, 1930 in San Luis Obispo, California to Charles and Ethel Hopkins Forbes. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Eugene Perry on October 24, 1948 in Minden, Nevada.

Joan worked as a secretary for Dr. Garth Last for 15 years and in the Washington County Recorders Office for 20 years. She was the beloved mother to her children. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, genealogy and working at the Temple. She served a mission for the LDS Church in Australia from 1997-1998.

Joan is survived by her children: Janet Prentice and Michael Perry; grandson, Justin Perry; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Perry.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St., George, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to the services, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
