Joann Wagner, 96, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. She was born to Clarence and Dora Anderson in Duluth, Minnesota. As a child, Joann moved to the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, California with her mother and brother Dwayne ("Andy").

In her younger years, Joann enjoyed traveling with her mother to destinations like Hawaii aboard the S.S. Lurline and an adventurous donkey ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Following her early graduation from Franklin High School, she worked as a secretary for insurance and engineering firms, where she met and married her husband Jim. Together, they raised four children in the Los Angeles area.

Later in life Joann enjoyed visits to her brother and sister-in-law in Alaska. In the 1990s she relocated to Utah to be near a childhood friend. She settled into a retirement home by a community pond, where she enjoyed frequent visits with her wonderful neighbors and the local wildlife, adding joy to her days.

Joann is survived by her four children: Steve and Dean in Arizona, Janice in New York, and Lisa in California; as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be private.
