JoAnn Walker passed away peacefully with her family by her side Sunday August 30, 2026.

JoAnn Horton Walker was born April 22, 1931 in Provo, Utah to Glen and Dorothy Horton.

JoAnn grew up on a farm in West Provo. She married her high school sweetheart Dell Walker in the Salt Lake Temple May 17, 1950. Together they built a beautiful family. JoAnn is survived by her devoted husband Dell Walker, Deanne Robison (Roland),

Gregg Walker, deceased, Gwen Heslington (Gary) and Scott Walker (Barbara). She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and 1 great great, grandchild.

A visitation will be held, Thursday September 3, 2026 at the Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT., from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a special tribute at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a graveside service held, Friday, September 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., at the Southeast part of the Provo Cemetery, 610 S. State St., Provo, UT. All family and friends are invited to attend.

JoAnn's legacy of love, laughter, service and family will live on through the many generations who were blessed to have known her.

A sincere thanks and appreciation to the IHC Hospice nurses that took excellent care of her on her last days.

There will be a gathering at the farm for all friends and family after the service at the Provo Cemetery. It will start at 4:00 p.m.

If any would like to take a short horseback ride please bring your cowboy boots.
