IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Vernon
Bremseth
July 31, 1940 – May 25, 2025
St. George, Utah – John Vernon Bremseth was born July 31, 1940, to Vernon and Catherine Bremseth in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was proud to call himself a "Cradle Catholic", having been raised in the Catholic faith, attended all Catholic schools (grade school, Cretin HS, St. Thomas University) and was an altar boy for many years.
After graduating from college, John proudly served in the Minnesota National Guard for 6 years. It was during this time that he began his career in the aviation industry, joining Northwest Airlines as a revenue accountant. He also earned an MBA from Pepperdine University. Forty years later, he retired from Delta Airlines having had an interesting and varied career including Cargo and Baggage Services, Consumer Affairs and Drug and Alcohol Testing.
John lived life with passion and joy. He had many interests and hobbies:
John died May 25, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Sue; his children: Christopher Bremseth and Carrie Bennett (Jason); his grandsons: Ethan, Grant, and Jack Henry; his brother, Joe Bremseth (Becky); sister, Rita Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John always had a joke of the day – today's is: Why did the chorus hire the baseball player? (Because he had perfect pitch).
