St. George, Utah - John F Mannion, 76, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, in St George, Utah. He was born March 26, 1938 in New York City to Martin and Margaret (Donnellan) Mannion. He was married for 47 years to Jacqueline "Jackie" (Tocco) Mannion, who preceded him in death. They were married December 15, 1962 at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers, NY.

John grew up in the Bronx, NY, and lived most of his life in the greater New York City area. He graduated from Pace College (now Pace University) in New York where he studied accounting. He worked for the Macmillan and Alco-Gravure publishing companies where he ultimately achieved the position of Corporate Controller. He briefly also served as the financial officer for the Borough of Maywood, NJ. When retirement came, he and Jackie set off on an adventure to a new part of the country, the Southwest, and St George. Throughout their lives, traveling was an important activity they were fortunate enough to enjoy.

John is survived by his daughter, Jane; son-in-law, Rob Henderson; and granddaughters: Eileen and Ciara Henderson. He is also survived by brothers, Martin and William, and their families.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 starting at 12:30 pm, with prayers at 2 pm at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221.
