St. George, Utah - Jose G. Garcia, 27, passed away January 15, 2022. He was born on April 22, 1994, in San Luis Obispo, California to Patricia Hernandez. He relocated to St. George, Utah where he called home.

Jose, or as his family called him "Gordo", could walk into a room and make everyone laugh. He was authentic as they come and lived for his two boys, Daniel (5) and Ezrah (2) and his life partner, Mariah Miranda. Anyone that knew him can recall his laugh, it was loud and contagious to anyone who heard it. He will be remembered as a proud father and loving young man who lived for his children, good times with his family/friends, good food, mischief and a good laugh. He was taken from us much too soon.

He is survived by his life partner, Mariah Miranda; children: Daniel and Ezrah of St. George, Utah; mother, Patricia Hernandez; brother, Ezequiel Montejo; sisters: Ciara Castillo, Patricia Montejo, and Marissa Montejo; and grandfather, Juan Hernandez all of Santa Maria, California.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Monday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mortuary.
