St. George, Utah
– Joseph Donald "Don" Inman, 89, passed away on September 1, 2016, in St. George, Utah. He was born July 13, 1927 to Susan and Claude Inman at their farm house near Deer Park, Washington.
He attended Olson Speer Elementary School all eight years, then went to Deer Park High School where he met his future wife, Ida Marconi.
Don enlisted in the United States Navy while still a senior in high school. He was called to active duty after graduation.
He spent boot camp in San Diego, California, then was assigned to duty in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. After returning home, he married Ida in January of 1947. They were blessed with two children: Patricia Dawn and Steven Lee. Steven passed away in 2000.
Don worked in office equipment sales and service business for over 35 years, traveling throughout the northwest. He continued to work until his 75th birthday, when he retired.
Don and Ida lived in Spokane, Washington approximately 70 years, until they moved to St. George, Utah to be near their daughter, Patricia and her husband, Richard Killian in 2009.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in the Washington Veteran's Cemetery, Medical Lake, Washington.
