Beloved husband, father, son and brother, Joshua L. Maynard passed away from this life to the next on July 19, 2014 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Salt Lake City, UT on February 22, 1979 to Larry K. Maynard and Julia Beams. He moved to Hurricane, UT and attended Hurricane High School. He was last employed by Sunroc Corporation as a heavy equipment operator before his illness. He married the love of his life, Cheri Worthen November 30, 2013. Cheri was a very loving wife and was at his side through his entire battle with cancer, she never gave up hope. Josh was an amazing father to his children and had many friends. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed many things like hunting, fishing, and camping, but his greatest passion was riding his Harley. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving family include his wife, Cheri of Hurricane, UT; son, Dylan and daughter, Brooklyn of LaVerkin UT; step-children, Haley of Salt Lake City, UT; Kenadie, Kamerin & Rilee all of Hurricane, UT; parents, Larry K. Maynard of St. George, UT; Julia Baham (Ronnie) of Hurricane, UT; sisters, Jolene Marie Maynard of Cedar City, UT; Heather Perry Bench of Salt Lake City, UT; Lindsay Kate Stout of Hurricane, UT; grandparents, Lynn and Melba Beams of LaVerkin, UT; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd, St. George, UT. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary. Interment will be at the Virgin City Cemetery.
