Toquerville, Utah - Judith Sharron Fleming Powell, 82, passed into the next phase of her eternal existence on December 12, 2022, in St. George, Utah. She was born on March 23, 1940, in Coalinga, California to Judson Herald Fleming and Ennia Lee Vaughn.

Southern California was home to Sharron in her earlier years. She graduated from Downey High School in 1957. After meeting at a drive-in movie, and briefly dating, she married Robert Kenneth Powell in Downey, California on March 28, 1958. In their retired years, she and Ken made their home in Toquerville.

Her family was her focus in life. She was never happier than when she had a house full of grandchildren, holding a baby in her arms. After a summer vacation that took the family through Salt Lake City in 1972, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church brought her many of the joys in her life - scripture study, teaching about eternal families and how temple ordinances "weld" us together. She loved to celebrate the birth of Christ. Preparations would begin in October and eventually every inch of her home would be covered in Christmas decorations.

Sharron is survived by her husband, Robert Kenneth Powell; her daughter, Wendy Powell Roth (Richard Fredrick Roth) of South Jordan, Utah; her son, Robert Wyatt Powell (Lisa Marie Spaulding Powell) of Whittier, California; 11 cherished grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Toquerville 2 ^nd Ward Chapel, 63 North Toquerville Blvd., Toquerville, Utah. A visitation will be held Friday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Toquerville Cemetery.
