IN LOVING MEMORY OF
June Yvonne
Griffith Dudley
June 16, 1925 – July 14, 2024
St. George, Utah – June Yvonne Griffith Dudley passed away in her home at The Legacy Village on July 14, 2024, at the ripe old age of 99. June was born on June 16, 1925, in Gooding, Idaho to Nancy Prince and James Wesley Griffith. She married Joseph S. Dudley on June 27, 1978, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
June was raised in Wendell, Idaho – spending summers in the mountains where her father worked in road construction. After graduating from Wendell High School, she got a job working at Wendell Drug Store. About a year later she moved to Southern California with her friend Laurel. June worked at a candy factory for 18 years and then for Prudential Insurance for the next 20 years.
Joe and June were making plans to move to St. George, Utah and had purchased a condo when Joe died suddenly after just 5 ½ years of marriage. June followed their dream of living less than two blocks from the Temple and made the move to St. George.
June loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Her testimony was strong! Her love for her Heavenly Father was unfailing! Her greatest joy was serving in the House of the Lord for over 20 years until health issues restrained her.
June is survived by her stepdaughter, Carol (Stephen) Quinn; six grandchildren: Shauna, Kathy, Ren, JD, Jason and Mary; nine great-grandchildren: Riley, Clara, Wren, Eden, Lydia, Stevie, Renae, Joey and a new baby girl coming in September; and two special nieces: Jackie and Aurea. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe; siblings: Goldie, Mae, George, Alice, Ted, Jack and Jay; and stepdaughters: Joan and Marilyn.
Most of June's friends have passed on but she had one that meant the world to her. A special thank you from the family to Susan for her love and tireless care during June's last years of life.
Private family services will be held.
