Justin Dennis Malloy, 25, of Guam, passed away on March 22, 2025, from an accidental drowning while helping to save a friend in distress.

Justin was born on September 8, 1999, to Dennis and Corene Malloy in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. His first job was working for his friends' auto repair shop during high school. After high school graduation in 2017, he served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Macon, Georgia mission from 2018-2020. He went on to study Construction Management at Brigham Young University.

In January of 2020 Justin met Tearsa Balls while working at Campus Plaza in Provo, and they were married on January 5, 2021, in the Timpanogos Utah Temple.

After graduating with a degree in Construction Management in December 2023, he joined the construction company of Hensel Phelps in Guam as a field engineer in March 2024, where he made many wonderful friends.

Justin was active as a young men's leader in his church in Guam and was an example of Christlike service and love.  He loved to be outside and active; he was an avid rock climber and hiker. He loved to work with his hands and enjoyed doing household maintenance work and fixing cars.

He is survived by his wife, Tearsa; his father and mother; and his nine older siblings: Aubrey Cox, Patrick Malloy, Sean Malloy, Kelley Lewis, Shannon Roberts, Kevin Malloy, Kathryn Loose, Alicia Strasser and Amber Grandy.

A viewing will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. St. George, Utah

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with a viewing prior from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Southgate 1st Ward Chapel, 1068 West Chandler Drive, St. George, Utah. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionary fund, Missionary Fund .
