Karen Rose Cannon Frei St. George, Utah - Karen Rose Cannon Frei passed away October 24th 2012 after a life-long battle with Arthritis and a relatively short fight with Cancer. Karen was born October 11, 1938 the youngest child of Clarence Cannon and Rosalind Miller Cannon. She grew up in "Sand Town" and enjoyed the blessings of being raised in St. George in that era. She married her sweetheart, Lee Frei, on October 5th 1955. They made their home in Santa Clara where they lived most of their married life with the exception of a brief period of time spent living in Salt Lake City and Beaver from 1981-1987. They were blessed with five beautiful Children. Although she battled debilitating arthritis for years, she still managed to keep a good attitude and friendly spirit around others. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed visiting with the many people in her life. She loved her children and all of their friends and was always happy to have them in her home. She loved to look at the beautiful view of Pine Valley and the red mountains from her front window.She loved her grandchildren and being involved their lives! She was supportive in encouraging their many talents and interests. She also kept treats readily available for whenever they came to visit. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many callings. Most recently, she enjoyed working in the Temple. Karen was preceded in death by both parents, her daughter Patty and her brother Albert. She is survived by her Husband: Leland J Frei, children: Allen Lee (Jeannette), Laurie Rosaschi (Dale), Jayne Mock (Kevin), Jerry Clare (Barb), and grandchildren: Klinton Allen Frei, Lyndi Frei Ison, Kyler Lee Frei, Jacob Clare Frei, Jordan Lee Mock, Rachel Lynn Frei, Kamryn Rae Mock, Shad Lee Rosaschi, Lydia Dawn Frei, Jedadiah Clay Frei, Josiah Lee Frei, 5 great grandchildren and brothers; Clare Cannon (Rosie) and Paige Cannon (Afton). Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Clara LDS Ward Chapel, 3040 West Santa Clara Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, prior to services, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. both at the Chapel.
