St. George, Utah - Kathleen Farnes, 84, passed away March 5, 2012 peacefully in her home in St. George, Utah of causes incident to age. She was born March 22, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Leah Thornton and Louis Larson. Kathleen married Harrison Farnes in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 27, 1948. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in many callings and capacities in the Church. She was a full-time homemaker devoting her time and efforts towards raising her children. Kathleen is survived by her sons: Robin Farnes and John Gavin Farnes; daughters: Vickie Jensen, Susan Jones and Christiene Ferguson; brother, Leonard Larson; sisters: Annabeth Gilman and Leah Gene Rostomily; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sun River LDS Ward Chapel, 4461 South Country Club Drive, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday, prior to services, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 North Main Street, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
