IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathy Kay
Johnson Bouck
August 17, 1951 – February 23, 2025
Hurricane, Utah - Kathy Kay Johnson Bouck returned to her Father in Heaven on February 23, 2025.
Kathy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 17, 1951. She grew up playing in the field behind her family home in Sandy with her eight brothers and sisters, who would grow to be her best friends. As a teenager, she met a handsome, slick-haired motorcycle rider. They both fell head over heels for each other. Those high school sweethearts would begin a life no one could have imagined. They built a home in South Jordan and raised their four children there. That family of six would grow to a family of 64 with spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
There are many big families who may not know or see each other often. Kathy (more often referred to as Grammy) and her husband, Glen (Papa), cultivated a close, loving family. Each individual member of their family personally felt like they were her favorite. Each one of them would tell you some of their best memories were made at "Grammy and Papa's" house.
Kathy had a way of involving everyone in a conversation. She had a way of making everyone feel loved. Her sense of humor was passed on to every member of her family, and many nights were spent laughing for hours in the living room.
Family get-togethers were always loud and fun. Kids running everywhere, adults laughing, and everyone eating good food.
We will miss her beautiful crocheted gifts, her sense of humor, her love for her family, watching her play with the newest babies of the family, and hearing her laugh. We can't wait to hear that laugh again.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Glen Stauffer Bouck; her children: Michael Glen Bouck and his wife, Michelle; Clint Bouck and his wife, Holly; Tiffany Kay Nelson and her husband, Benji; and Ashlee Bouck Exon; thirty-two grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Delna Johnson; and her sister, Judith Knudsen, who we know waited for her with open arms.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with a viewing prior at 9:00 a.m., at the Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
Interment will be held in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
