Kay was born July 27, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Franklin P. Jensen and Marvel Elise McCleery Jensen. He married Virginia Williamson February 11, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
During the Korean War he served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force 191st Fighter-Bomber Squadron 03-1-1951 to 09-2-1952. He was stationed in Clovis, New Mexico and was responsible for cooking for Pilots and support staff training to fly the new jet fighters.
Kay loved nature and received much pleasure from photographing its beauty. He especially loved visiting the Oregon Coastline and loved the beauty of the red hills of St. George. He loved spending his evenings reading books and gaining knowledge found within them.
He enjoyed serving others throughout his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and home teacher. He had a strong testimony and love for Jesus Christ and magnified his many church callings..
He will be missed by his family and friends.
We love you dad, until we meet again. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sunset Springs LDS Ward Chapel, 415 North Westridge Drive, St. George, Utah.
