Obituary

Henderson, NV – Keith Arthur Parke passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in his sleep, while surrounded by his beloved children. He was born April 5, 1943 in Long Beach, California with his twin brother Kent Clarence Parke. Born to loving parents, Sarah Kathryn McCarty and Keith Hatch Parke.

After Keith served a honorable LDS mission, he headed to BYU, where Kent was. He met, then loved, then was sealed for time and all eternity, to Jan Johnson Parke. After earning his BS from BYU, he achieved his master's degree from Columbia, Missouri, while starting a family.

He settled his growing family in Cedar City. They raised Cade, Laura, Kristi, Rachel, Blake, David & Michael in a strong LDS home with love and care.

He was inseparable from his family, his Parents, along with Kent & Lynn, ended up living in Cedar also.

Keith's proudest moments are of the 5 of his 7 children, who went on honorable LDS missions. Then 6 of his 7 children being sealed in the Temple with their Spouses. Watching his Grandchildren start going on missions was Heaven on Earth for him.

Keith leaves an amazing legacy of love and friendship to all he met.

After retiring from Cedar High and Canyon View, he started teaching in Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was a dedicated caretaker, father and husband to his Nevada family for 30 years.

Old age and a stroke finally let him rest. He is now with his parents and ancestors where he is working to help those of us still here, make it to heaven where he is.

Good memories and wonderful children, Grateful for his hard work ethic and how to treat others, Love of life and people while being a great example, Love of life and people while making you feel like a superstar, Example of kindness and treating all with great love no matter their station, Life lessons and fierce loyalty and enduring friendship, Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the atonement, And strength in the Gospel, Incredibly cheerful disposition and how fiercely he loved his children, are descriptions of Keith.

Thank You Keith Arthur Parke, we love and miss you. We are grateful to you, and we are thankful for the Atonement of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which allows us to be with you eternally, if we are righteous.

Survived by his children: Michael (Amy), David (Tanya), Blake (Jaime), Rachel (EJ), Kristi (Bob), Laura (Ryan), and Cade (Ashley); 27 grandchildren (and growing); his brother, Kent (Lynn); their children: Jon, Catherine, Richard, Steven, Jeff, Keith & Ryan; and by loved ones, Jan & Bobbie.
