St. George, Utah - Kenneth Emery Willardson of Orem, Utah returned to the other side of the veil on Tuesday night, December 21, 2010. Ken was born in San Diego, California March 1, 1929. He was called to serve a mission in the Southern States mission for the LDS Church. He met his wife, Hilda Virginia Touchstone while attending San Diego State University, and they were married in the Mesa, Arizona temple May 29, 1952. He was the owner and manager of a number of businesses, more recently investing in real estate in St. George and Utah County. He has always been a faithful and active member of the LDS church having served in many callings. He was always willing to give a helping hand to his children, grandchildren, and family members. He also spent much time giving selfless assistance to those he saw in need and thereafter treated them as family. One of his favorite activities was going fishing, with family at Fishlake, UT. He will definitely be missed! Ken is survived by four sons, Bradley (Kathryn) Yelm, Washington, Marcus (JiNell) Kingston, Utah, Michael of New Harmony, Utah, and Robert. Along with his sons, he is survived by sisters Dona (Ray Capelo) Queen Creek, Arizona, Sylvia (Wayne G. Williams) Draper, Utah, brothers John "J.D." (Jannice) Orem, Utah, Don J.(Betty Jean) Lindon, Utah and Glen L.(Marjorie) Salt Lake City, Utah. He is preceded in death by his wife Hilda, daughters, Katherine (Willardson) McElyea and Angela (Willardson) Moody, an infant son, Kenneth JR, a sister, Mary Le Ile, and his parents, Emery S. and Evelyn G. Willardson. He has 13 grandchildren and 11 great grand children. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orem LDS Stake Center, 546 North 500 West, Orem, Utah. Visitations will be held Wednesday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services both at the Stake Center.
