Kristi Gayle Zohner, 39, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015. She was born to her loving parents, Wayne and Marci Heaton on July 28, 1976. She met the love of her life, Gary Zohner, and they married on December 4, 1998. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple in June of 2001. Kristi is survived by her husband, Gary; daughter, Jessica (19), son Jaden (15); sisters: Traci Heaton, Teryl (Dan) Marden; and brother, Bevan (Amy) Heaton. She also leaves behind her loving father and mother-in-law, Dave and Marti Zohner; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wayne and Marci Heaton. Kristi attended Dixie High School and went on to certify as a phlebotomist at Dixie State College. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in various church callings. She was very talented and creative. Her interests included crafts, cars and working on electronics. She was constantly researching and learning new things and was not afraid to seek out new adventures by creating a path of her own. Kristi loved music, hiking, being outdoors, and dancing; but above all else, she loved being with her family. "We loved her so much and she has taught us so much in life. She has always been there for us no matter what." - Jessica and Jaden Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Valley LDS Stake Center, 511 South Valley View Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Saturday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Veyo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, there will be an account set up in her name, Kristi Zohner, at Wells Fargo Bank.
