Obituary

St. George, Utah - Lucy Margaret Sydner, age 96, passed away October 28, 2014, at Kolob Care and Rehabilitation. Margaret was born September 2, 1918, in Pleasant Valley, Nova Scotia to Aaron and Lucy (Crosby) Killam. Margaret moved to California as a young woman. She married Francis "Pete" Sydner on June 25, 1965, in Mendon, Nevada. They moved to Utah in 1970. Margaret was a member of the Good Shepard Presbyterian Church. Margaret enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Margaret is survived by her step-son: James Sydner, California; brother-in-law: Philip Murphy, Nova Scotia; as well as nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by husbands: Francis "Pete" Sydner and Clare Lowe; and two sisters: Virginia Hatfield and Carole Murphy Memorial services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 611 North 2450 East, St. George, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221. Margaret's family would like to thank all those who gave their love and support to Margaret over the years.
