Mesa, AZ – Lannie S. Bridges, 84, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born July 22, 1941, in Tooele, Utah to Glenn and Ada Burningham Bridges. He married his high school sweetheart, Dee Esta Bridges (Rhea). They were married in Tooele, Utah on December 21, 1961.
Lannie was raised in Tooele, Utah, joining the Air Force after high school and then utilized the G.I. Bill to graduate from the University of Utah with a degree in business. He went on to become an FBI Agent starting his career in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lannie and Dee started a family in North Salt Lake and Bountiful before taking a transfer with the FBI to Portland, Oregon, then to Chicago, IL and then to be the senior agent in Great Falls, Montana where he finished his career with the bureau.
Lannie had many hobbies and interests which included hunting, fishing, gardening, landscaping, and woodworking. He also enjoyed bowling and playing pool. In his later years, he bought and donated pool tables for the places where he was living.
Lannie was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Esta Bridges (Rhea), his parents and his siblings Doran, Connie, Bonnie, Sherron, and Gwen. He is survived by his children: Damon Bridges (Margaret) of Carol Stream, IL, Daren Bridges (Charlotte) of Mesa, AZ, Holly Burningham of Bradenton, FL, and Travis Bridges (Stacey) of Lorena, TX as well as his siblings Steven Bridges, and Joan Barger (Wayne). Lannie has 8 grandchildren: Kyle Bridges, Cody Bridges, Cameron Erickson, Jared Bridges, Erika Bridges, Wyatt Bridges, Hattie Bridges, and Sutter Bridges.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 am at Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary 288 West St George Blvd, St George, Utah 84770. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
