Hurricane, Utah - LaRae Larson Driffill passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at her home, peacefully surrounded by the ones she loved, on April 5, 2013. She was 80 Years old.

LaRae was born May 15, 1932 in Lago, Utah (Tooele County). The family moved shortly after to Garfield, Utah where she grew-up and attended school. LaRae continued her education at Hollywood Beauty School where she became a great stylist.

LaRae was the proud mother of two sons, Craig and Joel Gillett, who preceded her in death. She met and married Joe Driffill in 1961, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1978. They have been married 51 years. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her most important role in life was being a devoted wife, mother and especially grandma to her grandchildren: Alysha LaRae, Jared and Desirae Gillett. Her most precious treasures were her great-granddaughters, Trinity and Brooklyn, as well as six other great-grandkids.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Evelyn Larson. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Wayne Driffill; sister, Gwen Weaver Sandall (Wayne); grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sky Mountain LDS Chapel, 452 North 2600 West, Hurricane, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow at the Hurricane City Cemetery.
