St. George, Utah - LaRaine Orchard, age 83, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014. She was born February 3, 1931 in Neola, UT to Albin Rue Peterson and Annie Malnar-Peterson. She married and was sealed for all eternity to the love of her life William Gary Orchard in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 6, 1949. They were married 64 years.

LaRaine was born and raised in Northern Utah, then moved to Southern California and raised her three children. She worked 22 years for the Rowland Unified School District as a bus driver. After retiring, she moved back to St. George, UT. She was very organized and loved to read and play the piano.

In memory of a beautiful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Laraine was such a beautiful, wonderful woman inside and out and she will be missed dearly by many.

She is survived by her husband, William Gary Orchard; son, Michael Orchard and daughter-in-law, Brenda Orchard (St. George, UT); daughter, Colette Kramme and son-in-law, Clyde Kramme (Redmond, UT); grandchildren: Chanel, Jason and Kylah Gore (Washington, UT) and re-united again with her son, Steven Orchard and parents Albin and Annie Peterson and her two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21 ^st 2014 at 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Metcalf Mortuary prior to the services. Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
