Obituary

St. George, Utah - Lee Andrew Jolley, born September 10, 1915, passed away December 25, 2012. He was the son of James Andrew Jolley and Ada Irene Neilson.

Lee married his high school sweetheart, Gail Ruth Erickson in Huntington Park, CA. They were the parents of four children: Bonnie Gay Ence (Dwayne), Lee Andrew Jolley, Jr. (Alana Lindberg), Cheri Tristan Fox (Lawrence) and Paul Erickson Jolley (Kathy Neff). Lee and Gail have 25 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Lee is also survived by a sister, Anna Jean Heckler; a step-daughter, Coral Maestas; and a step-grandson, Timothy Penninger.

Lees wife and mother to his children, Gail, passed away in 1967. In 1975, he married Kathryn Mary Boyd. Kathy passed away in 2003.

He lived in Los Angeles, North Hollywood, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Littlefield, AZ; and St. George, UT.

Lee was a talented professional musician, performing and traveling internationally with many famous orchestras in hotels, nightclubs and Hollywood studios. Lee was a fine craftsman in stonework. He was creative in fashioning flagstone and brick into beautiful structures. He enjoyed music, reading and history.

Lee was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wherever he traveled on tour, he sought out the nearest chapel to attend. Lee read constantly and always loved learning, especially history and church doctrine.

The family will be forever grateful for the ministrations by the staff of Mark Corry at Beehive Home Cottages and Assisted Living. Mary Saunders, Karen Subache, Shelly, Cory, Diana, Mike, Angelina, Claudia and Megan have been all that is supportive and caring. We give thanks to Bob Murray from Applegate Home Care and Hospice for his dedicated assistance. We appreciate the care of Drs. Tom and Douglas Callahan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington LDS Stake Center, 200 West Brigham Road, St. George, Utah. A visitation will be held Monday, prior to services, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will follow at the Washington City Cemetery.
