Leland Stanford Dalley, age 87, died in a tragic automobile accident on December 14, 2022. Stanford "Stan" was born to Leland & Zola (Carter) Dalley on July 13, 1935. He was a dedicated & loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Stan spent his life in the service of others—he served his country as a member of the United States Army, he served his neighbors & community by delivering fresh produce from his garden, he served the hearts and minds of many youths by teaching elementary school for over 25 years, and he valiantly served his Heavenly Father by being a life-long faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Stan always had a song in his heart, and not a day passed that he couldn't be heard singing or whistling a tune. He was a treasured member of many choirs throughout his lifetime & one of the highlights of his singing career was being a tenor with the Southern Utah Heritage Choir for almost 20 years. Stan loved to travel, and he and his late wife, Sandra Emett, explored the world together. He stayed active physically and mentally up until the day he passed by, working in the yard, riding his bike, and doing crossword puzzles. In December of 2014, Stan married his high school sweetheart, Darlene (Dowsett). They resided in Mesa, Arizona, until his death. Stan lived a full & beautiful life—his gentle and kind nature made him a source of great strength in his family, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Stan is survived by his wife Darlene; daughter, Heather Bracken of Enterprise, UT; daughter, Terece Radmall of Eagle Mountain, UT; his grandchildren, Austin, Dakota, Challen, Hannah, Rebekah, Joseph, Joshua, and Peter; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Emett); parents, Leland & Zola Dalley; siblings, Richard Dalley & Leola Hatch; and granddaughter, Rachel Bundy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Enterprise Stake Center, 80 South Center Street, Enterprise, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Friday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Enterprise Cemetery.
