St. George, Utah – Lillian East Nelson, 75 times around the sun, came into the world in Bountiful, Utah on March 7, 1949.  She was born to Lucille and Roy East. She lived and loved life and passed on December 6, 2024. Lillian worked every day, creating the world she wanted. She wanted beauty and magic. She was exceptional in her endeavors.  "Lil" is survived by her loving husband, 5 siblings, 7 children, 24 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings, and 1 grandchild.

James Eugene Nelson tricked Lillian into getting hitched on September 2, 1967. The two started their family "up north". The big kids were born in Salt Lake City and Bountiful. Better settle in for the tally!

Tracie Jean, married to Alan Hunt. She has 1 son, a set of twin girls, and 1 grandchild, with another grandchild on the way.

Kimberly Kae, married to Ben Shorty. She has 5 boys, and two grandchildren.

Monica Lyn, married to Rocky Scott. She has 3 girls, 3 boys (2 of which are another set of twins, one preceding Lillian in death), and one grandchild.

A'mee Ann, married to Chris Orchard. She has 2 boys and 1 girl.

In 1975 they were tired of the cold, loaded up the truck, and moved to the land of Dixie.

Here they had twins. Jamie Kristen, married to Mat Holt. She has 2 boys, 2 girls, and 1 grandchild.

Twin brother, Kristofer James, still looking for a woman as good as Lillian, a higher standard indeed. He's been meaning to get around to having kids.

And the baby, Sandi Melissa, full attention on her four kids. She has three boys and one girl.

Kudos to anyone that can name them all in the immediate lineage.

Please join us in remembering Lillian on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Coyote Springs Ward Chapel, 1905 Rustic Drive, St. George, Utah. Visitations will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd. and on Friday, prior to services, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Church. Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah.
