Washington, Utah - Linda Marie Harrington Cohen, 74, passed away January 27, 2012. Linda was born October 3, 1937, in Alexander County, NC to Thomas Houston and Mary Porter Burke Harrington. Linda graduated from AL Brown High School in Kannapolis, NC, Class of 1956 and attended Evans College of Commerce in Concord. She married and had three children. Linda was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Augusta, GA. She retired from Bellsouth in 1993. She loved to read, play the piano and travel but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Luke Leon Harrington. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Louise Isenhour, Richfield, NC; brothers: Thomas Harrington, Claremont, NC and James D. Harrington, Taylorsville, NC; children: Phillip Cohen and wife, Eileen, Augusta, GA; Stephen Cohen and wife Nancy, Burlington, NC; Cathy Cohen De Los Santos and husband Joseph, St. George, UT; her grandchildren: Erin and Jill Cohen, Ansley and Matthew Cohen and Andrew and Benjamin De Los Santos; and her dear friend, Lois Cohen of Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Reformation Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, NC with burial to follow at Salem Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, NC. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
