Obituary

Ivins, Utah – Linda Linebaugh Berrett Nicholls, 82, passed away April 10, 2023, at home surrounded in love.  She was born July 22, 1940, in American Fork, Utah to Glade and Thora Hawkins Linebaugh.

Linda grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where she attended Olympus High, then The University of Utah and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.  It was there that she met James Emory Berrett (1938-1983) and married in 1961, later divorced.  They had four children: Brooke, Radd, Tiffany (1967-2015) and Kalli.

Linda married Robert Nicholls (1935-2013) in 1989 and her family grew adding Kathy & Kari.  Linda and Bob had the opportunity to live in Heidelberg, Germany early in their marriage and loved to travel every weekend to different parts of Europe and beyond, feeding her love for travel.

Linda had an accomplished career as an escrow officer and President of a title company. She was a great example to other women with her success.  She held other positions, but her favorite was "Oma."  Linda was also a faithful member of the LDS Church, where she served in many leadership & teaching roles.  She loved singing in church choirs and was always a member of her ward choir from the time she was 12 years old until her death.

Linda was a talented artist, and known for her oil paintings, mostly of daisies, her favorite.  Later, she expressed these talents through quilting and handmade cards that everyone looked forward to receiving and cherishing.  Later in life, she kept busy working with the Daughter of Utah Pioneers, and walking with her dear friends and her dog, Louis, every morning.

Linda is survived by Brooke (Deb) Berrett, Radd Berrett, Kalli (Kade) Huntsman, Kathy (Mark) Sessions, Kari (Bill) Culbreath, as well as 17 grandchildren and 22 (+2) great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Robert Nicholls, Tiffany Berrett Snowden, Glade, Thora, Ronnie & Kent Linebaugh, Kathy Linebaugh Bradley and James Emory Berrett.

As a family we would like to thank all of mom's dear friends who have shown her so much love.  It beautifully reflects upon her dedication to serve others.  Linda will be missed, but her love and legacy will continue.
