St. George, Utah - Linda Rae Swope Sidlow passed away September 22, 2014 after a valiant fight with Mutliple Myeloma. Linda was born February 1, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Itol and Wilfred Swope. She was the oldest of four siblings Julene, DeeAnn, and Dennis. Linda was raised in Missouri, Texas and California. She attended BYU where she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and remained faithful throughout her life. Linda married Paul Sidlow November 27, 1963 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angelos LDS Temple. Linda was an exceptional quilter and very talented with a sewing machine. She used her talents of quilting and sewing to bless many lives. Linda and Paul raised their family in California, Washington D.C., and Connecticut. They retired to St. George, Utah in 1999. Linda is survived by her children: Susan (Gary) Bond, Leslie (Mike) Rowe, Scott (Amy) Sidlow, and David Sidlow. Grandchildren: Tyler, Tanner, Ashley, Tarin, Zach, Kalea, Hannah, Trever, Jenna, Lexi, Finn, Beck and Xander. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Paul Sidlow. A viewing will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd, St. George, Utah. As per Linda's request, there will be no funeral. The family would like to thank Dr. Te, Applegate Homecare and Hospice, and all of the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and Caregivers who took such loving care of our Mom.
